Charles F. Heider is an independent American songwriter from West Virginia. Born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, Heider became formally educated in drums and percussion at an early age and by the teen years was self-taught on guitar, bass, mandolin and harmonica. Songwriting became an early passion with energy spent on crafting music, studio recording and pursuing publishers while performing and singing with bands.
Although sidetracked by family and career for decades, music remained a core part of life and Heider continued singing and playing drums with local country, classic rock and alternative rock groups and experiencing the wide spectrum of life emotions drawn from the challenges, successes and falls that we all live through. Eventually, the desire to return to writing and crafting songs could no longer be denied. Heider draws intense emotions, pain and joy from a deep ocean of life experiences and channels those feelings into words and music.
The benefit of a diverse musical background in an array of genres provides Heider the ability to target carefully crafted words and music to specific voices, styles and categories that best express the core idea and emotion. With newfound devotion and energy to the craft, and increasing presence on streaming platforms and social media, Charles F.
